On-Page SEO Best Practices for Psyke Pages

Updated this week

Overview

Even though Psyke generates your page content using AI, reviewing and optimising each page for search engines is what turns good pages into great ones. This article covers the key on-page SEO elements and how to manage them in Psyke.

Page Title

The page title is the clickable blue text that appears in Google search results. It should:

  • Include your target keyword near the beginning.

  • Be between 50 and 60 characters long (longer titles get cut off in search results).

  • Be descriptive and enticing β€” give people a reason to click.

To edit the page title in Psyke, open the page in the editor and click Page Settings β†’ SEO Title.

Meta Description

The meta description is the short text that appears below the title in search results. It does not directly affect rankings, but a well-written description improves click-through rates.

  • Keep it between 150 and 160 characters.

  • Include the target keyword naturally.

  • Summarise the page's value clearly.

Headings (H1, H2, H3)

Headings structure your page and signal to Google what each section is about.

  • Use one H1 per page β€” this should contain your main keyword.

  • Use H2s for main sections and H3s for sub-sections.

  • Include related keywords in headings naturally.

Image Alt Text

Alt text is the description attached to images. Search engines read it to understand what the image shows (and it also helps visually impaired users). In Psyke's image editor, add a short, descriptive alt text to every image. Include your keyword if it fits naturally.

Internal Linking

Linking from one Psyke page to another related page keeps visitors engaged and helps search engines understand how your content connects. Add links to related pages within your text using the link tool in the Psyke editor.

URL Structure

Psyke generates clean URLs based on your keyword. Keep URLs short, lowercase, and use hyphens between words (e.g. /seo-landing-page-london). Avoid numbers, special characters, or long strings.

Content Quality

  • Aim for pages that fully answer the search query. Use the full page editor to enrich AI-generated content with specific details, examples, or statistics.

  • Avoid keyword stuffing β€” use your target keyword naturally and include related terms.

  • Make content easy to read: short paragraphs, clear headings, and bullet points where appropriate.
