How to set up the Schema Markup

Updated over 3 months ago

Adding schema markup to your pages helps search engines understand your content better, which can improve your visibility in search results with rich snippets and enhanced search features. Psyke allows you to easily add schema code directly to the head of your pages.

Steps to add schema markup

  1. Open your page in the editor

  2. Click the Head button located above your page

  3. Paste your schema markup code into the head section. You can use JSON-LD format, which is recommended by Google. Example of a simple schema for a local business:

    {
    "@context": "https://schema.org",
    "@type": "LocalBusiness",
    "name": "Your Business Name",
    "address": {
    "@type": "PostalAddress",
    "streetAddress": "123 Main Street",
    "addressLocality": "City",
    "addressRegion": "State",
    "postalCode": "12345",
    "addressCountry": "Country"
    },
    "telephone": "+1234567890",
    "url": "https://www.yourwebsite.com"
    }

  4. Save your changes

  5. Publish the page to make the schema markup live

Tips for using schema markup

  • Always validate your schema with Google’s Rich Results Test to ensure it’s error-free.

  • Use schema types relevant to your content, such as Article, Product, FAQPage, Event, or LocalBusiness.

  • Combining schema markup with your SEO efforts can improve click-through rates by showing rich snippets like ratings, FAQs, and business information in search results.

💡 Tip: Keep your schema up to date whenever your page content changes, including new products, services, or events, to maintain accurate search results.
