What is Google Search Console?
Google Search Console (GSC) is a free Google tool that shows you how your website appears in Google Search — including which pages are indexed, how many impressions and clicks they receive, and any errors Google encounters. Connecting it after publishing your Psyke pages is a crucial step to monitor your SEO performance.
Step 1: Verify Ownership of Your Domain in Google Search Console
Go to search.google.com/search-console and sign in with your Google account.
Click Add Property and enter either your full domain or your subdomain (e.g.
pages.yourdomain.com).Choose a verification method. The easiest for most users is the HTML tag method:
Copy the meta tag provided by Google.
In your Psyke dashboard, go to Settings → SEO → Head Scripts and paste the tag there.
Publish your changes, then return to GSC and click Verify.
Step 2: Submit Your Sitemap
A sitemap is a file that lists all the pages on your site. Submitting it to Google helps Google discover and index your Psyke pages faster.
Psyke automatically generates a sitemap for your published pages. You can find it at
yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml(orpages.yourdomain.com/sitemap.xmlfor subdomains). In Google Search Console, click on your property, then go to Sitemaps in the left sidebar.
Enter
sitemap.xmlin the field and click Submit.
Step 3: Monitor Indexing Status
After submitting, return to the Sitemaps section after a few days to see how many pages have been indexed. Use the URL Inspection Tool to check a specific page and request indexing if it has not been picked up yet.
Tips
It can take Google anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to index new pages.
If pages are not being indexed, check for any noindex tags that might have been added accidentally.
Regularly check the Coverage report in GSC for errors or warnings.
